STOP PRESS........From September 2009 Saturday morning classes will be placed in the 5 day week, thus enhancing the quality of weekends for both boarders and day pupils. Each Saturday boarding and day pupils (if they wish) will participate in a range of studies and activities. Full boarders will look forward to an active weekend with Saturday afternoon fixtues, a Saturday night activity, Sunday Mass and a Sunday afternoon event such as paintballing, mountain biking, ice skating and much more. An attractive weekly boarding fee will be introduced for September 2009.

The Governors of Prior Park College, Bath, are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr James Murphy-O’Connor, to be Headmaster from September 2009. James Murphy-O’Connor read History at Oxford and gained a PGCE at Cambridge. After teaching at Stamford School and Sherborne, where he was a Housemaster, he was invited in 2004 to be the founding Headmaster of Sherfield School. In this enterprise he has been highly successful, seeing this co-educational, independent school set up from scratch, with the school roll rising to 540 pupils.
