As part of the College’s Advanced Enrichment Programme, 12 Upper 5 students experienced the healing power of Tibetan “singing” bowls. The seven week “Mind, Body and Soul” course covers such topics as Dr Emoto’s “messages from water”, Reiki healing and religious experience, and was enhanced by the sacred sound healing provided by Wendy Scott.
Wendy Scott gave a presentation on the power of prayer in healing and explained how the healing modality dates back to Tibetan Buddhism where the instruments were used for consciousness transformation and healing.
Dr Willmott, the College’s Head of Philosophy commented “Sound healing is an effective and proven modality that uses vibrational sound to help reduce stress, alter consciousness and create a deep sense of peace, well-being and better health. Sound has also been shown to be effective in the healing process for cancer patients by reducing stress and aiding in pain management.”
